FAQs

Questions builders ask us

Email us for more information on the printed interior system.

Is the material strong and safe enough for a van?

Yes. Our primary material is a marine grade polymer, reinforced with glass or wood fiber. It handles temperatures up to 170C (338F) and has high impact resistance. It contains non-halogenic UV stabilizers and flame retardants, and the base polymer is food safe (BPA and PFAS free). We also offer a 100% bio-based polymer. Polymers can be shredded back to pellets and reprinted up to 4x.

Will my van interior look different?

It doesn't have to. You can think of the 3D prints as the foundation or framing for your build. If you don't like the 3d printed look you can always wrap our parts in fabric.

What is the digital twin, in plain terms?

The digital twin is a 3D model your shop uses as the blueprint for buildouts. It contains all appliances, systems, hardware, wire runs, plumbing lines, and 3D prints, plus the chassis data directly from the OEM (Mercedes, Ford, Volkswagen, and more). The model is easy to update. If you switch to a new appliance, the 3D prints adapt accordingly.

Does it work with cabinetry we cut on our CNC?

Yes. Your CNC cut cabinetry is included in the digital twin, so our 3D prints conform to your existing cabinetry and layout.

Will this stop my production line?

No. We work directly with you to integrate the 3D printed system into your production line, starting with a pilot van that validates the assembly steps before production.

How do you run the calculations for my van build?

We take the numbers you give us from the Build Calculator and compare them to our 3D printed interior data, including validated assembly time. The more accurate your data, the better the comparison.

How do you handle shipping?

We typically print interiors (full and hybrids) in one massive part. We break the prints down into 3-6 parts for install and shipping. We can ship across the US and EU.
